PAYMENT AND BOND
  • Full payment is required at the time of booking to confirm your reservation.
  • A refundable Bond is required for all hires. The Bond amount varies by equipment type and is shown at checkout. It must be paid in full prior to equipment being released.
  • You authorise Tiny Trekkers Ltd to charge your nominated debit or credit card for hire fees, late fees, cleaning fees, damage, loss, replacement costs, and debt recovery costs.
  • Bookings are confirmed only once full payment, Bond, and ID verification are completed.
ID VERIFICATION
  • Hirers must be 18 years or older and provide valid government-issued photo ID (Passport or Driver's Licence).
  • The name on the booking must match the ID provided and the payment method used.
  • For online bookings, ID must be uploaded at the time of booking. Equipment will not be dispatched until your ID has been reviewed and approved.
  • For in-person collections, ID must be presented at pickup before equipment is released.
PICK UP / RETURNS
  • Pickup and delivery options are available. Delivery zones and conditions apply — contact us at the time of booking to confirm arrangements.
  • The Hirer must inspect equipment at pickup or delivery and note any pre-existing damage. Any damage not noted at this time will be deemed to have occurred during the hire period.
  • Late returns are charged at the standard 1–7 day daily hire rate per day or part thereof.
  • Equipment not returned within 7 days of the agreed return date may result in replacement cost charges and may be reported to New Zealand Police.
CLEANING
  • Equipment must be returned clean, dry, and odour-free, in the same condition as it was received.
  • Cleaning fees apply for excessive dirt or biological mess (for example: mud, vomit, urine, or faeces).
LOSS / DAMAGE / REPLACEMENT
  • Equipment must be returned in its original condition, subject to fair wear and tear.
  • The Hirer is liable for loss, theft, damage, or missing parts occurring during the hire period.
  • Replacement costs are charged at the current full retail value of the item or an equivalent replacement.
  • Use equipment responsibly and in accordance with the manufacturer's safety instructions at all times.
  • Sub-hiring, lending to a third party, or modifying equipment is not permitted.
  • The Hirer is liable for any injury or loss arising from misuse of equipment.
